According to Anele’s predictions, her Top 3 included (in numerical order) Lalela Mswane, Jeanni Mulder and Moratwe Masima.

Lalela ultimately took the crown, while Moratwe secured her spot as the 1st runner-up. Jeanni, meanwhile, made the Top 5.

Also correctly included in Anele’s Top 5 finalists was Zimi Mabunzi, who was named 2nd runner-up.

“Anele is a vibe,” said one tweep.

@Anele you are ROCKING it. My kids listen to you every morning & never said a thing until today. They just dragged me out of a shower to watch you on Miss SA. You and “some man” they say. Anele, my 11yo and 8yo clearly love you! I do too! Keep it up! You are AMAZING!

I find Anele Mdoda too loud as #MissSA2021 presenter 🤯

She’s good at doing these things in general but for the next Miss SA they should perhaps bring someone else who’s less loud and less screaming tlheng bathong .

I won’t be surprised if Anele gets to host Miss SA again next year, she’s doing a stellar job and I like how they’re giving her so much airtime!! #MissSA2021

Others were not as complimentary, claiming the presenter was “too loud”.

“I find Anele Mdoda too loud as  #MissSA2021 presenter…for the next Miss SA they should perhaps bring someone else who’s less loud and less screaming,” said one tweep.

“Anele is presenting this pageant like it is Miss Kwa-Nongoma,” said another.

Others claim a number of fellow South African celebs could have done  a “better job”.

“Zozi would have made a better MC than Anele”, said one tweep. “Somizi could have done a great job presenting Miss SA. @Bonang we missed you today,” said another.

Ebile Zozi would have made a better MC than Anele! Miss SA is elite e bata voice ee ithobileng, e seng go goeletsa!

Respectfully, Anele wasn’t the right host for Miss SA shame. It wasn’t giving what it needed to. Le Jackie from Gomora was better as a host. #MissSA2021

It’s true though. I’m watching Anele and I’m cringing.

Bonang is the perfect host for Miss SA

I personally feel like Anele waphapha too much for something like Miss SA. It requires someone with poise and elegance, she’s shouting too much 😪
