LONDON (AP) — The finals of the Billie Jean King Cup, beforehand the Fed Cup, were postponed for a 2d time on Thursday.
The World Tennis Federation acknowledged the 12-nation occasion cannot buy space as scheduled as an indoor occasion from April 13-18 in Budapest, Hungary.
Citing “continued uncertainty and the challenges because of the COVID-19 virus, within the community and internationally,” the ITF acknowledged it could well be rescheduled later within the 365 days. A venue used to be now no longer confirmed.
The occasion used to be before the total lot scheduled in April 2020, then postponed when the pandemic used to be declared.
The ITF acknowledged play-off round ties would continue as scheduled in April.
