LEXINGTON — Kentucky women’s basketball coach Kyra Elzy has dismissed former Sacred Heart Academy star Erin Toller from the Wildcats’ team.
“We hold our players to a high standard at Kentucky,” Elzy said in a statement released by UK Friday evening. “Unfortunately, Erin was not consistently meeting those standards, so she has been dismissed from the program. We wish Erin and her family nothing but the best moving forward.”
According to a news release, UK will not be commenting further on the dismissal.
Toller appeared in five games for the Wildcats as a freshman last season. She totaled six points and three steals in nine minutes in her collegiate debut versus Murray State but scored just five points the rest of the season.

Despite missing most of her sophomore season and all of her junior year at Sacred Heart with a knee injury, Toller scored more than 1,000 points in her high school career. As a senior, she averaged 16.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game to lead Sacred Heart to the KHSAA Sweet 16.
UK will open the 2021-22 season on Nov. 9 against Presbyterian.
