A commercial lobster diver who bought caught in the mouth of a humpback whale off the wing of Cape Cod on Friday morning said he conception he used to be going to die.
Michael Packard, 56, of Wellfleet, told WBZ-TV after he used to be launched from Cape Cod successfully being center that he used to be about 45feet (14 meters) deep in the waters off Provincetown when “all of a unexpected I felt this huge bump, and every thing went darkish”.

Charles “Stormy” Mayo, a senior scientist and whale knowledgeable at the Center for Coastal Research in Provincetown, told the newspaper that such human-whale encounters are rare.
Humpbacks are no longer aggressive and Mayo thinks it used to be an accidental stumble upon while the whale used to be feeding on fish, likely sand lance.
