Kaizer Chiefs star Keagan Dolly has opened up on his telepathic relationship with teammate Khama Billiat.
The duo were directly involved in three goals for the Glamour Boys on Saturday evening when Stuart Baxter’s side earned a crushing 4-0 victory over Chippa United.
Keagan Dolly put Kaizer Chiefs ahead early on after being played in by Khama Billiat. Dolly wasn’t done yet and the same combination resulted in the second goal on the night.
Dolly then turned provider for the Amakhosi’s third goal on the night with Billiat on the receiving end this time around. The pair who were teammates at both Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi Sundowns in the past were simply in an unstoppable mood.
Kaizer Chiefs star duo’s relationship explained
“It’s always easy for me to understand where Khama is going where Khama is going to run and he knows what to do when I have the ball,” Kaizer Chiefs star Keagan Dolly told SuperSport TV following the match.
“Like I said it’s been a partnership since Ajax days, so automatically if I have the ball, I know where he’s going to be. But overall, the entire team, we’ve been working hard in training and off the field and we deserve it tonight, hopefully there is much more to come.
“Yeah, like I said in the past few games, we’ve been creating chances, we’ve been working on it in training sessions. We just said ‘let’s execute and stick to our plan’ and that’s what we did. Like I said, it’s not just me, the whole Kaizer Chiefs team played well and we stuck to our game plan. I think if we keep going like this, a lot of teams need to watch out for us.”
The victory meant Kaizer Chiefs climbed up into eighth spot on the DStv Premiership log standings and will next face second-placed SuperSport United on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off is scheduled for 17: 30.
