N.B. premier says provinces discussing July for border reopening

OTTAWA —
Original Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs says the provinces are speaking about July for the Canada-U.S. border to reopen.

Higgs told CTV News Channel’s Energy Play on Monday that July 21 is “within the realm” of that timeframe.

“We were speaking in our nationwide call per week ago, we were speaking about mid-July … thru the diversified provinces,” Higgs acknowledged.

The Canada-U.S. border closure become extended to now not less than July 21. The border become closed in March 2020 and that closure has been extended every month since.

Higgs acknowledged he become hopeful the reopening “would advance forward.”
