The nationwide spy watchdog says the RCMP is investigating a cybersecurity breach that resulted in the theft of two files and the compromise of deepest files.
The Nationwide Security and Intelligence Evaluation Agency says that between March 9 and 19, a hacker gained secure precise of entry to to an agency network that integrated a database with names, cellphone numbers, electronic mail addresses and scrambled versions of passwords.
The agency says folks struggling from the theft of the database were straight notified, with about a exceptions.
The network also integrated piece of electronic mail with other federal workers, lecturers, civil society teams and the media, to boot to complaint allegations submitted by the final public for investigation by the agency.
