GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) — Cincinnati Reds outfielder Shogo Akiyama returned to spring coaching after per week away to be along with his wife, who became once seriously injured when a tree fell on her in a park in Ohio.
Akaya Akiyama became once hospitalized after being injured by the tree closing week whereas she became once walking in Sharon Woods in Cincinnati. Her husband stated Thursday that her condition is bettering.
“I became once within the clinic together with her, I became once spending time with (the) young folks,” the 32-yr-frequent Akiyama stated by a translator at the team’s spring coaching advanced in Goodyear, Arizona. “I mediate it became once the inevitable time that I needed with this week away.”
Manager David Bell stated Akiyama received’t be within the lineup for a spring coaching sport till Sunday.
