Well being minister Dr Zweli Mkhize acknowledged that there had been 194 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide loss of life toll to 50,271.
Of these newly recorded deaths, 80 had been in KwaZulu-Natal, 43 had been in Gauteng, 29 had been in the Free Speak, 15 had been in Limpopo, 12 had been in the Western Cape, eight had been in the Jap Cape and seven had been in the Northern Cape. There had been no deaths recorded in Mpumalanga or the North West.
Mkhize acknowledged 1,433,320 recoveries had been recorded up to now, at a restoration payment of 94.6%.
There had been 76,037 health-care workers vaccinated as of 6.30pm on Tuesday.
