Successfully being officials in Prince Edward Island report two new cases of COVID-19

CHARLOTTETOWN – Prince Edward Island is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 as of late.

Chief medical officer of smartly being Dr. Heather Morrison says one case involves a female under the age of 19 who is a finish contact of a beforehand reported infection.

She says one other case involves a male under the age of 19 and shall be related to regional gallop. There are eight piquant reported cases on the Island.

Morrison says 18,632 doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been administered in the province, including 5,622 booster photos.

Vaccination appointments opened this week for residents 70 years dilapidated and older.

Residents in their 60s who gain certain underlying medical stipulations akin to transplanted organs or cystic fibrosis can book appointments starting Thursday.
