Suspects threw Molotov cocktails thru home windows of a northwestern Alberta church on Saturday, igniting a fire, RCMP confirmed Sunday.

Emergency crews replied to Our Woman of Peace Catholic Church, located at 10405 99 St. in Peace River, after 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Police acknowledged an unknown collection of people threw bottles that had been on fire thru church home windows. No suspects had been known.

RCMP acknowledged the fire department used to be in a plan to construct out the blaze, noting there used to be minimal harm.

There had been no injuries, in accordance with police.
