The dead body of a missing 39-year-weak man was found in a peculiar place in the Santa Coloma de Gramenet suburb of Barcelona, Spain on Saturday, 22 May; legal hours after his family reported him as missing. A father and son have been observing a large paper-mâché figure of a Stegosaurus as soon as they noticed an unusual smell coming from the dinosaur.
Upon nearer inspection, they spied the leg of a corpse and the local authorities have been summoned.
MISSING MAN FOUND DEAD IN DINOSAUR STATUE
Catalonian police are investigating the death of the man who they bear fell into the statue whereas he was trying to retrieve a misplaced cellular phone, according to The Guardian. Unfortunately, the man became stuck and died. The BBC says the man fell into the dinosaur headfirst and was unable to call for assist.
After seeing the man’s leg thru a crack in the opening stegosaurus, the father and son called the authorities and three fireplace brigade teams managed to chop open the statue’s leg and obtain greater the body.
“We found the body of a man inside the leg of this dinosaur statue,” said a spokesperson for Mossos d’Equadra, the regional police.
The spokesperson advised The Guardian that the death was accidental and that the police effect no longer suspect any violence was involved. “It looks to be as although he was trying to retrieve a cellular phone, which he’d dropped. It looks to be fancy he entered the statue head first and couldn’t obtain out.”
The spokesperson added that they are no longer obvious how long the man was stuck in the dinosaur statue, as they are awaiting the autopsy outcomes, nonetheless they think that he was trapped for at least a couple of days.
Local media reported that the man’s family declared him missing mere hours ahead of his body was found on Saturday.
