WestJet says this might occasionally extend its temporary suspension of international sun flights to locations in Mexico and the Caribbean until June 4.

Canadian airways in January suspended all flights to sun locations until April 30 on the demand of the federal govt.

WestJet President and CEO Ed Sims said in a launch that it made the decision with the sure expectation that as extra Canadians are vaccinated, govt policy will alternate.

He says company with affected itineraries shall be notified of the cancellations.

WestJet says since Nov. 1, 2020, it has been offering refunds for all travellers where WestJet initiated flight cancellations.

Sims says WestJet continues to point out for the replacement of main resort quarantines with a finding out regime that’s equitable and per international requirements the least bit capabilities of entry into Canada.

“Alongside an accelerated and profitable vaccine rollout, this policy transition will make stronger the stable restart of recede and support stimulate the Canadian economic system, where one in ten jobs are tourism-connected,” he said Tuesday.
