Yair Netanyahu, son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, used to be ordered by the Kfar Saba Justice of the Peace’s Court on Monday to pay NIS 500,000 in a defamation lawsuit to Dana Cassidy, a political activist from Blue and White.

The defamation lawsuit got here as a results of Netanyahu making baseless claims on his Twitter yarn insinuating that she and Blue and White Event leader Benny Gantz had been in an intimate and sexual relationship, Hebrew media reported

The lawsuit used to be filed in August 2020.

The resolution to rule against Netanyahu used to be made after the high minister’s son failed to file a letter of defense and in addition didn’t settle for the lawsuit – claiming that it used to be “ridiculous, delusional and baseless,” saying that it used to be “nothing more than a publicity stunt.” 

Cassidy claimed that Netanyahu ragged an ordinary photo of the plaintiff with Gantz to create blatant allusions that she used to be intimately involved with the Blue and White leader.

In addition to volunteering for the Blue and White Event during the closing Knesset elections, Cassidy is also an animal rights activist.

As for the younger Netanyahu, he isn’t any stranger to being the center of controversial points, as spherical the time that the lawsuit used to be filled against him closing August, he used to be slapped with a restraining describe by the Jerusalem Justice of the Peace’s Court, which prohibited him from tweeting or publishing commentary about leaders of the sing streak against his father for six months, after he referred to them as “aliens.”
